Whenever a quotation has been sent, it’ll be valid for 4 days. Realizing a payment, either half or total, leads to accepting the quote and contract of services and sales terms and conditions.
50% of the total cost of the boat service need to be paid in order to reserve the boat. The remaining 50%, as well as the cost of additional services, needs to be paid 1 week before the event takes place.
CATVENTS S.L. guarantees that the equipment is insured against damages and accidents to third parties with a minimum amount of 336.567.00 Euro. The boat offers insurance for the passengers.
In case of cancelling due to COVID-19 related circumstances (travel restrictions, infection etc.), the whole amount paid will be returned.
In case of cancellation by the client:
30 days before the event the total amount that has been paid will be refunded.
Between 15 and 29 days before the event, 50% of the money paid will be refunded.
Between 3 and 14 days before the event, 30% of the money paid will be refunded.
Within 48 hours of the event, no money will be refunded.
Once the service has been started, no money will be refunded.
In case of having an additional service included such as catering, the cancellation or change of order within 48 hours of the event will lead to a payment of 100% of the service.
In case of having third party services contracted (musicians, golf instructor, reserved spaces in ports or other activities/professionals), the cancellation policy of the specific services that has been contracted comes into effect. In case of having contracted specific material such as banners, flags, shirts or clothing in general, or products that have a manufacturing lead time different from the cancellation policy, no money will be refunded once the trip has been cancelled.
48 hours before the event, we are able to receive a reliable weather forecast.
In case of a bad weather forecast, the client has the option to cancel the service or to postpone it to another day.
In case of a cancellation caused by bad weather, the client will be refunded the amount paid in advance, except any money paid for third party services (catering etc.) as well as costs that arose for administration services which result in a 2% of the total amount paid.
No money will be refunded once the services has been started. This can happen by decision of the client or by the service provider (in case of bad sea, which could threaten the passengers and the crew).
Overall the company adopts the philosophy to achieve the goal that the clients are satisfied and are having a good time. Meaning, if we think 48 hours before the trip, that this satisfaction will not be achieved, we will inform and advise the client to change or cancel the trip. At this point we would like to point out that a forecast is, as the name says, as forecast and that the reality can be different to what has been predicted. In general, these forecasts magnify the possible meteorological events.

In the case of cancellation by CATVENTS S.L. before departure from the base port, 100% of the amount paid will be returned, as long as the company does not find an alternative charter with similar characteristics accepted from both parties.
In case of cancellation by the client:
30 days before the event, 20% of the money paid will be refunded.
Between 15 and 30 days before the event, 50% of the money paid will be refunded.
Between 15 and 0 days before the event, no money will be refunded.
Once the service has been started, no money will be refunded.
The start of the charter is determined being the time of the meeting of the crew with the skipper at the base port, which can be delayed 24 hours in case of unfavourable weather conditions.
The crew member declares to know the itinerary of the program, which may vary due to weather conditions and/or to preserve the safety of the entire crew, in this case the skipper of the is empowered to change the itinerary accordingly.
Given the impossibility of returning to the base port (Port Olímpic in Barcelona) in a safe way for the crew on the indicated date due to bad weather conditions, the customer will have to bear the cost of returning with another transport or decide to wait to return with the boat when weather conditions allow it, paying for the additional costs.
In case of suspension of the charter due to bad practice in navigation caused by bad weather conditions, CATVENTS S.L. will pay the crew the proportional part of the days not enjoyed, plus the return expenses in the transport chosen by CATVENTS S.L., if necessary. The customer is able to choose another type of transportation at his/her convenience, but has to pay the expenses.
Travel contracts and commitments before or after the booked charter are the sole responsibility of the customer. Navigation is dependent on the weather and CATVENTS S.L. is not responsible for possible extra expenses derived from schedule and itinerary changes caused by bad weather conditions. Travel contracts or commitments should be flexible, to be able to react to possible changes in the date or place where the journey ends.
